TITLE: Questions are the Answer
CLIENT: US Department of Health and Human Services
Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality
PURPOSE: Public Service Announcement

Many people are reluctant to ask questions of their doctor. This spot is part of a package of PSAs targeted to the African-American community to address that issue. Dr. Carolyn Clancy (director of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality) and Dr. Miriam Burnett (medical director for the African Methodist Episcopal Church) appear together to urge viewers to ask questions of their healthcare providers. The audience hears that “Questions are the Answer” to quality health care.

TITLE: Love Your Kidneys and Kidney Walk
CLIENT: National Kidney Foundation
PURPOSE: Public Service Announcements

A PSA package was produced for the National Kidney Foundation. Love Your Kidneys outlines the warning signs of kidney disease and urges the viewer to talk to their doctor or to contact the NKF to learn more.Kidney Walk is a promotional spot for NKF’s annual fundraising walk. Both spots feature Washington Redskins safety, Reed Doughty, whose young son was born with kidney failure. The spots aired on stations in the Washington, DC market.

TITLE: YO! – The Youth Opportunity Movement
CLIENT: US Department of Labor
PURPOSE: Promotion / Information

A music video and a series of celebrity public service announcements were produced for the Youth Opportunity Movement, the US Department of Labor’s education and job-training program for at-risk youth. The music video won five national awards and features actor Edward James Olmos.

TITLE: Who Are You?
CLIENT: US Department of Labor
PURPOSE: Public Service Announcement

This PSA was produced in conjunction with a fully-developed, multi-lingual, national media campaign. The campaign promoted the use of a national network of “One Stop” career centers. Three individuals who used “One Stop” centers to find their jobs are featured and a national toll-free number is also promoted.
