Sutherland Media Productions, Inc. is an award-winning television and video production company with offices in Washington, DC and San Francisco, CA. The company was founded in 1989 with staff that shares more than six
decades of collective experience as both broadcast and independent producers.
During this time, we have developed, researched, written and produced a wealth of television
and video product designed for use with a wide range of audiences. We have worked with a
broad spectrum of clients in both the public and private sectors. Our expertise has been
achieved through many years in documentary video and film production, electronic journalism
and project management. We have worked on location throughout the world.
Sutherland Media Productions is a full-service production company with experience executing
all creative and technical elements of a production from concept through completion.
We work in partnership with our clients throughout each phase of the production process
to ensure that all of the client's goals and objectives are met. We work very hard to
please our clients and are proud to have done repeat business for virtually all of them
over the years.
Our productions are used for a variety of purposes including education and training,
motivation, corporate and institutional image, marketing and sales, public and internal
communication and broadcast documentary. We also produce live television events — satellite videoconferences,
seminars and webcasts — as well as CD-ROMs and other interactive
multimedia products.
Ann DeStefano Sutherland, president and owner of the company, serves as senior producer
for all of the company's projects — developing concept and approach, and directing all
research, videography and post production functions. Ann has more than 25 years of
production experience and is an accomplished producer, director, writer and editor,
specializing in documentary-style programs. She has built a reputation among her clients,
and within the Washington production community, as a highly creative professional with a
penchant for detail.
